A few weeks ago Kristopher had a friend from his Graphic Design class call him and ask if he could recommend him to his employer, because they had an opening for a new designer. So a few days later Kris went in for an interview, and they offered him the job! So, with him finishing up school at BYU and working in Salt Lake, we have decided that it is time to move so he doesn't have to commute so far every day. By the end of this month we are supposed to be out of our apartment (maybe I should take some time to start packing.... ick).
We started looking at apartments about 2 weeks ago and found one we really liked, submitted an application, and the owner basically told us it was ours, but he'd need a week to check out our credit and references. After 5 or 6 days of waiting, we started to feel a little uneasy. The guy didn't have us leave a deposite or anything, and he hadn't called our landlord for a reference yet. So we called him, and he told us his wife's co-worker wanted the place too, so they were still deciding who to rent to. And they told us the next day that they were going with the other lady. Nice. So we were back at square one. After waiting a week, any other places we had looked at were no longer available, so we had to start over. Luckily, we found another place pretty quick that we're trying to get into, and hopefully it will work out this time. This just hasn't gone over as smoothly as we had hoped, but I'm sure it will work out how it is supposed to! We're just getting tired of using up so much gas driving all over Salt Lake Valley!
